Wedding Magician Guide

There is no doubt that having a Magician on your Wedding Day can add that extra special touch (I’m not biased honest) but one question I often get asked is …

When are the best times to have a Magician on your Wedding Day?

The Drinks Reception

After the ceremony has finished and all the congratulations there is often a time where the bride and groom will be taking photos elsewhere within the venue. This leaves guests to fend for themselves which results in a lull and can sometimes be quite boring for the guests.

A magician can help with breaking the ice between guests who are meeting for the first time, creating an enjoyable atmosphere that gets them talking. Knowing there is entertainment for your guests allows you to go off and enjoy your photos, what’s not to love.

During the Wedding Breakfast

Magic between courses makes a great addition to your first meal as a married couple. This creates a great talking point for each table, serves as an ice breaker for guests meeting for the first time and allows the meal to flow nicely leading to the evening.

Your photographer will love you for this as it creates guaranteed moments of laughter and enjoyment which they can capture.

After the Wedding Breakfast

So you have had all the photos, finished your first sit down meal as a married couple and are getting ready to dance the night away long into the evening. Most venues often have what is called a “turnaround” where they will pack down all the dinner service and transform the room ready for the evening.

During this time it is easy for the energy levels to drop but having a magician mix and mingle with all the guests allows this time to flow nicely and kick start the evening celebrations. You also get the advantage of both day and evening guests being able to enjoy the magic.
